Russia’s first international Arctic media Congress will be held by Federal Agency for tourism on September 18-22

The first international Arctic media Congress in Russia events will be held in Saint Petersburg and Murmansk. Federal Agency for tourism is organizing a media Congress dedicated to the tourism in the Russian Arctic development. On September 18, the Congress, which will be held within the «Accessible Arctic» forum framework, will open in the Tauride Palace of St. Petersburg. The Congress participants will spend 2 days in St. Petersburg, where they will discuss tourism state support, tours to the Arctic availability, tourist services quality and availability, tourist infrastructure development, prospects for various types of tourism in the Arctic. Speakers on these topics are not yet listed in the Congress program.

On September 20, the Congress will continue in Murmansk, where the Arctic media Congress participants will get acquainted with tourist sites that exist in the Murmansk region, visit the icebreaker Lenin, and discuss cruise tourism and airport infrastructure upgrades in the Russian Arctic.
