10.09.2020Despite the fact that the Arktika nuclear icebreaker is scheduled to be put into trial operation on November 5, 2020, the icebreaker will be finalized for at least another year. In addition to replacing the engine that burned out during sea trials, the icebreaker is waiting for an addition in the software. A new software package for assessing the landing, stability, emergency stability, unsinkability and the vessel strength in relation to compliance with the applicable Russian Maritime Register of Shipping and IMO criteria will be developed for 708 thousand rubles. Who will be the developer is not yet known. According to the Unified Information System in the procurement field, applications for participation in the procedure are accepted until September 16, 2020. Summing up is scheduled for September 30
