The nuclear icebreaker Arktika went to the Gulf of Finland for inspection after repairs24.11.2021
Repairs on the nuclear icebreaker Arktika series 22220 are finally completed. The icebreaker went out to the Gulf of Finland (this is in St. Petersburg) for inspection. After checking the right rowing electric motor operation, the icebreaker will return to work on the Northeast Passage. The right rowing electric motor on the icebreaker was damaged during sea trials. The nuclear icebreaker Arctic worked for a year without one electric motor. The new electric motor is checked by the ship’s crew and a welders team who carried out repairs.
